The history of J.M.R. Electric Ltd. is the history of the life and times of John Rasenberg and his wife Sue Ann Rasenberg. From humble beginnings, living in a mobile home in Exeter, Ontario, and having traded in their personal vehicle for the firms 3rd company vehicle the seeds of growth were sown. The spring of 1978 was the start of something special, jobs were small but the ambition was not. In the summer of 1978, July 6, 1978 to be exact, the first employee, Dennis Preszcator was hired and to this day remains an integral part of the operations. The business was incorporated on February 4, 1980.
1983 was another big year. In that year, the company entered the mechanical construction services sector under the direction of Darrell Preszcator, by offering plumbing, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. The mechanical division became a mainstay offering that complemented the electrical contracting services. Over the next three decades, the company succeeded in landing major contracts across the province. In every corner of Ontario, the quality workmanship and eye catching projects that have been completed by JMR Electric Ltd. can be seen as a source of pride not only for management but for every team member.
Today J.M.R. Electric Ltd. is a flourishing Canadian company, with construction operations in cities and towns across on Ontario, with more than 300 employees, traveling in more than 60 corporate vehicles, with consolidated net sales of more than $100,000,000.
